I called this “Application Profiles or Application Performance Signatures” back when I was preaching about doing the same thing while at ELNK in ‘02-’03 as part of my “Zero Latency Operations Center” initiative. Focusing on the cross-domain / organizational silo is key here. If what Rich is working on can help close the organizational silo gap as well and be truely service centric he may have a winner here.
